CNN Türk is a news channel broadcast by the American company CNN and Demirören Holding. Headquartered in Istanbul, the channel's best-known programs include 5N1K, Bir Yudumum İnsan and Oradaydım.
CNN Türk, which started broadcasting on the terrestrial broadcasting frequency of Doğan Holding's Eko TV, broadcasted some programs directly translated from English in its early days. Between 1999 and 2006, its logo was placed in the lower right corner. Between 2005 and 2008, it broadcast Formula 1, for which it acquired the broadcasting rights. Between 2006 and 2010, it moved to the upper right corner. On January 28, 2008, it gave its terrestrial broadcasting frequencies to TNT and closed down for a while. Afterwards, the terrestrial broadcasting license of TV5 channel was purchased and CNN Türk's broadcast was reintroduced to rooftop antennas. In 2010, CNN Türk moved its logo back to the lower right corner like all CNNs. On September 17, 2012, it switched to 16:9 broadcast format.
